Boutique hotels and villas that want to keep the feel of a traditional key choose a wooden fob instead of a card. It is familiar for guests, hangs on the reception board, and behaves exactly like a contactless card on the lock.

Fob or card?
Cards fit wallets and card pockets, which suits city hotels. Fobs work better around pools, spas and villas where there is no pocket, and they make returned keys visible on the reception board.
Some properties use both: a card for the main guest, a fob for the accompanying guest.
Material and durability
Walnut, oak and bamboo bodies get a matt water-based finish; leather versions use metal rivets. Where humidity is constant — pool and spa areas — we recommend silicone or fully sealed bodies.
Encoding and room numbers
Fobs are produced with your lock system's chip and can be delivered pre-encoded. Room numbers are permanently engraved, and leather or cord colours can mark floors.

+Will it work with my existing locks?
Yes. We identify the chip from your lock brand and a current card, then confirm it on a sample before production.
+Is it as thin as a card?
No, a fob is thicker. It is used on contactless locks, not on readers with an insert slot.
+Does it fit the energy saver slot?
If the in-room energy saver takes a card-sized insert you will still need a card. Tell us the slot type and we will propose the right combination.
+How fast is a sample?
Engraved samples are usually prepared within a few working days; we confirm the exact timing when we receive your request.
